The Future of Computer Human Interfaces For VR, AR, and Video Games Considered
We all know that the TV and movie industry is moving towards 3-D, and soon we will have 3-D video games also. It probably shouldn't surprise anyone that the pornography industry is very interested in 3-D, nor should it surprise anyone that there will be massive amounts of money spent by the video game industry to try to renew itself, and to make the games more exciting and fulfilling with the use of 3-D.
Still, as 3-D comes onto the scene and becomes the norm, that is to say that all of the TVs are 3-D, and nearly all of the movies are as well, we can then expect holographic imagery and spectral imaging to come into play. Yes the video games of the future, and the augmented reality, and virtual reality simulators will be nothing short of amazing. Imagine the future living room gaming center.
Are you ready for that future?
Well then, what if I took this discussion one step further and told you that the future of video gaming will also include a computer-human interface. The video game will pick up on your brain waves, it will know what you are thinking, and when you are going to make a move before you make it, it will anticipate and act faster than your human mind and body can move the control stick.
This way the video game can either work against you as your ultimate opponent because it knows your every move in advance, or it could work with you as will the future fighting weapons, and it will fire while you're still making the decision and sending the impulses down your finger to pull the trigger. Scared yet? You can understand that this future is well on its way and the research and development people working on it, well those scientists are paid a lot of money to make it happen, so they probably will.
When I think of the future of neuroscience, I immediately think of things like;
- Computer Human Interfaces for VR and AR,
- Video Communication,
- Military Control of Robotics,
- AI Assist for Problem Solving.
- External Additional Sensors Such As Lidar, Sonar, 3-D Frequency Visualization, Infrared, and
- How to Input All This into the Brain to Assist
What I think about, when I consider the future of human-computer interfaces for Virtual Reality is an all-knowing type understanding of the environment, where the human mind and the computer become one. Does this bother you yet? Maybe it should, but I am not bothered by any of it, I would love to see this come to fruition. And I have no doubt that it will. Please consider all this.
