Pharmacist Jobs - What Are Some Of The Places A Person Can Work?

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

At one time or another while looking for work, you may have noticed the multitude of pharmacist jobs advertised in a local newspaper or on an internet website. And, as it has always been in the past, there still seems to be plenty of work for pharmacists, and in many different venues. For your convenience, here are just a few examples of some of the places you could go in a pharmacist career, should you choose one:

Chain stores that have pharmacy services - One of the many roads you could choose to travel is to look for jobs in the pharmacy at one of the big retail store chains that provide this service for their customers as a regular convenience.

Besides getting your foot in the door of a company that has the potential for a long, rewarding career, consider the other benefits you could encounter. In addition to getting the regular medical, dental, vacation and profit sharing package many companies still offer their employees, you could also end up with perks like huge discounts on all of their store merchandise, as well as on medications for yourself and family members.

Non-profit hospitals and other medical facilities - Another great route in which to take to start or continue a pharmacist career is by getting a job at a big hospital or at one of your town's smaller medical clinics. Besides the many fine benefits that also come along with working for these types of organizations, there is another thing for you to consider.

Hospital employees, and licensed medical personnel in particular, often end up staying at the institution at which they begin their career - for the whole life of their career. And, during that time, there is often ample opportunity for a person to take advantage of continuing his education in regard to his chosen profession, and in doing so, may get offered opportunities to take higher paying positions with more responsibility.

And, if things like that don't interest you but you do like to "shake it up a bit" are far as working at different locations to keep it "fresh", there will usually be an opportunity or two for you to transfer to another facility within the organization that will still let you maintain your exact job duties in the pharmacy.

Home IV Therapy company - In some countries, such as the United States, there exist private companies that cater specifically to those persons who are in-patients at hospitals, and can go home - provided there is a way to make sure they are still able to get their IV antibiotics, chemo or other medications that they were getting in the facility. And, this is the need that these types of companies fill.

Some of them were actually started by former hospital pharmacists themselves - and now they hire other pharmacy personnel to take doctor's orders and mix up the compounds patients need, right there on-site. Then, they are responsible for shipping it to wherever the patient resides, so the patient or his caregiver can be trained by a nursing home care business, to run and operate the IV - just like medical personnel did at the hospital. You could choose to go this route, and be a part of an organization that provides this alternative to many grateful patients who now have the opportunity to recuperate in the privacy of their own homes.

So as you can see, there are pharmacist jobs all over the board and many different ways to go with them - all waiting for those who are ambitious enough, and wish to get educated in this field.

RPh on the Go offers pharmacists total flexibility to customize their career, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and personalized pharmacy career counseling.

An Education Degree May Be Ideal For Moms Who Want A Flexible Work Schedule

Sunday, August 28, 2011

One of the hardest things about being a new mom is deciding when to go back to work. Some moms stay at home for a few years, and some moms go back to work as soon as their maternity leave is up. There's no right answer, because it depends on the particular family situation a mom is in. One thing is certain though, moms everywhere want to have a good balance of work and family time, without sacrificing too much for either one.

For a lot of moms, working a typical 9 to 5 job just doesn't fit because they want more time with their families. They might be thinking about trying to find a job that suits the schedule and life of a busy family, including school, work, soccer and more. Moms who are trying to figure out a job that's more realistic for their lives may want to think about going back to school to get an education degree.

Getting an education degree may be the right move for moms who want more flexibility in their schedules. Being a teacher means a different set of working hours and days that better matches what their children's school schedule is. While a teacher still works from Monday through Friday, there are a lot of other days off during the year, too. Most of the days off that a teacher has match with the kids' days off, except for teacher in service days or other scheduled workdays when kids don't go to school, but teachers do.

For example, when the kids are home for summer vacation, you will be, too. The same goes for Christmas and Spring breaks. You won't have to worry any more about what you'll be doing during all those school holidays, because you'll be home with your kids. The worry and cost of finding childcare can be mostly a thing of the past, because you can largely be at home when they are.

There are a wide variety of education degrees that you can get, depending on what age children you want to teach. If you want to teach younger children at the pre-K level, you can go to school to get an associate degree in early childhood education in about two years. In many associate degree programs for early childhood education, the state certification process is included in the degree itself.

Teachers who teach at the elementary school level and higher need to complete a bachelor's degree in order to teach. Students who get a bachelor's degree in a particular subject such as English or history will also need to complete an education certification with the state they will be teaching in before they will be allowed to teach. Other aspiring teachers will work to receive a bachelor's degree in education, often with a specialized focus, like K - 5 education or science education. Your college will be able to help guide you in choosing your major and education specialty. Another good source of information is your state's department of education website.

Additionally, there are many grants and scholarships available to help pay for school for people who want to receive high levels of teaching accreditation in preparation for their teaching career. The TEACH grant is a federal program that awards money to students enrolled in teaching programs and requires graduates to teach at schools that are identified as having students from primarily low income families. TEACH recipients are required to teach for four years at one of the schools identified in the Department of Education's Low Income Directory. For teachers who are interested in making a big difference, a TEACH grant may be an ideal tool to help pay for school and giving teachers an opportunity to make a big impact.

For moms, an education degree can be an ideal tool to have the best of both worlds: time with their kids and an opportunity for a great career. If you're thinking about going back to school to get an online degree in order to improve your employment opportunities, and you need a job with a schedule that gives you time with your children, teaching may be just right as a career move. You'll have a rewarding career that makes a difference in the life of your family and in other children's lives as well.

The Future of Thought Streaming

Saturday, August 27, 2011

The idea of thought streaming came up on a blog recently, I haven't thought about this subject for about thirty years but I remember my imagine was just as strong then. Is it possible to get information from the brain, or the mind, unintrusively.

I'll emphasize unintrusively for now, the idea of any implant in the body is not something I am keen on unless it is a last resort. Though saying that the idea of well-formed nanobots going round and repairing DNA, cell damage and removing unwanted material is something I wish was here now.

The blog mentioning thought streaming made me think of one of the many ideas I have had in the past. This particular one was really a schoolboy dream, for my 'Applied Science and Technology' O-Level I had tried to create an encephalophone. It was based on picking up alpha, beta and gamma waves from the brain and showing them back to the user in biofeedback fashion, LEDs in some plastic glasses and some awfully tinny speakers that hissed white noise when the alpha waves were produced. The idea was that if information could be physically picked up from the brain, it could be passed on remotely to someone else.

I did try to see if it could transmit information, although not very useful then, I mean this was 1978, I found it pretty hard to create Morse code by creating alpha waves in the mind. Alpha waves are produced when you are relaxing, but a major problem I had with this machine was the awful crackling sound that was supposed to be white noise which had the awful habit of shifting you back into an alert, in not annoyed state of mind.

I was then interested in telepathy, in a big way, made more exciting I remember by an old series that used to appear on TV called the 'Tomorrow People' where it was a standard skill of the next generation of human beings. My thinking then was the mind created these waves and transmitted them, then wasn't there a possibility that an external source able to transmit the same frequencies back into the brain, could somehow recreate the original thought.

I see nowadays the complex patterns that the brain produces when thinking about different things and my earlier ideas were somewhat blunt when compared to this. Of course the brain is three dimensional and any feeding back of the frequencies, if it were possible would have to be done in a much more targeted way. However, sensing the waves are much easier, if this equipment was sensitive to where the information came from then quite a few very complex algorithms could be created to harness this information transmission.

I feel thought initiated user control technology is something that will eventually become mainstream, it is surprisingly easy to recreate, but actual thoughts, feelings and imagery for a presentation is an awesome challenge.

The idea of thought streaming came up on a blog recently, I haven't thought about this subject for about thirty years but I remember my imagine was just as strong then. Is it possible to get information from the brain, or the mind, unintrusively.

How to Get Into Acupuncture School

Thursday, August 25, 2011

Before you can learn how to get into acupuncture school, first you must choose the right school for your wants, needs and goals. Then it is simply a matter of contacting an admissions specialist at that school and scheduling an appointment. All acupuncture colleges are different, and they won't all necessarily suit your needs. Once you find the right school, however, then it should be simple to learn how to get in based on their requirements and prerequisites. You may need a degree, such as a BA, before you can begin, or you may need some experience in oriental medicine. But the first step is always choosing the right school.

There are more acupuncture schools in the United States than ever before due to a rising acceptance of alternative medicine and the healing arts. With a good education and practical training under an experienced mentor you can gain the skills to set up your own practice or begin working at an established office. The first schools you should look into are those that are close by, unless you would prefer to move to a different city for a change of location or whatever other reason you may have. You should look into a couple of things before you apply to any school.

The most important factor in determining a good acupuncture school is accreditation. There are two respected accreditation commissions for acupuncture schools in the United States that were formed in the 1980s. These are the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) and the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). If you are thinking about applying to a school that has not been accredited by one of these commissions, think again. Your degree may not be highly regarded by future employers or clients, and the credits earned there may not transfer to other schools.

There are accredited acupuncture schools in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin. If one of these schools is within budget, and the program fits your goals, then you can begin your research to learn how to apply for that particular school.

English Composition Classes At Core Of All College Education

Tuesday, August 23, 2011

Students are returning to college in droves, whether they have just graduated from high school or are returning to college after several years on the job. Students from every walk of life will be deciding which classes to take, and trying to figure out the ones that will be most beneficial to them. An English composition class may be one of the best classes to take when students first enroll in college, because of all the benefits it provides.

An English composition class is designed to teach new college students how to critically read and write. Students will read a wide variety of literature, from poetry to short stories and novels. They will read works that are considered classics, as well as newer short fiction or poetry. The idea is to expose students to many kinds of literary works.

Students will also be required to write a number of papers analyzing what they read. They will be taught to analyze literature on the basis of a variety of literary conventions, which are standards for criticism and analysis. These standards will include topics such as theme, plot, character analysis, and symbolism, to name a few.

In addition to literary convention, an English composition class will also cover structural topics of importance. For example, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure will all be covered in this class. These structural elements of English are the glue that holds a paper together.

Students will be taught how to read a piece of literature in a manner that leads them to a thesis, or theory, about the literary work. Often a thesis is derived on a comparison of characters, or thematic elements within a story or poem. It is the student's job to prove their thesis by drawing on the literary elements within a story and creating a coherent piece of work that has meaning.

Students will also learn to write papers and essays that use a particular style or format. English classes generally use the MLA format, but the APA style is also commonly used in a college environment, as well as a professional environment. Students will learn to use the index in each stylebook in order to format their papers according to the necessary format, including spacing, titles, bibliographies, and footnotes and other annotations.

In college, students are usually required to take a minimum of two English composition classes. Two semesters of English composition will give students the tools they need to create papers in all of their other classes. Nearly every class in college will require essays and other types of explanatory papers to show that the student understands the coursework and can write an articulate summation, when needed.

Once a student graduates, the lessons learned in an English composition class will easily translate over into the working environment. This is such a necessary part of higher education that many a class is being offered in a free online college format. In nearly every professional job that requires a college degree, employers are looking for potential employees who can write well, and, with this course, that will definitely be you.

How Much Does a Veterinary Technician Degree Cost?

Monday, August 22, 2011

If you're thinking of becoming a veterinary technician you're probably wondering, "How much does a veterinary technician degree cost?" The fact is that veterinary technician school is very cheap, especially when you compare it to the cost of becoming a veterinarian. Of course, veterinary technicians do not make as much as veterinarians, but they can begin working within two years, and many of the classes could transfer to a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree if you choose to go on to become a veterinarian.

The cost of a veterinary technician degree will vary depending on which type of school you go to, where you live and whether you are paying out of state tuition fees. The tuition for a diploma, certificate or Associate of Science degree program at a community college or vocational school could start as low as $725 per semester, with additional costs for books and supplies. Some people opt for a four-year Bachelor of Science degree, which will cost more, but you may earn more as a veterinary technician, and you will be on track to continue the required education to become a veterinarian. Out of state fees can be three times as much; however, so it is preferable to study in the same state which you currently reside.

You may have to take some prerequisite courses before you begin your veterinary training, which typically include biology, chemistry, microbiology and some humanities courses. Once you get into the program you will take courses such as animal husbandry, animal medical techniques, anesthesia, comparative anatomy, diseases, hematology, physiology, radiography and surgical principles. You will train in clinical settings and labs with live animals as well.

In addition to the completion of a certificate, degree or diploma, you will also need to pass a state regulatory exam to become certified. The details and costs of this exam will vary by state, but the fees should be pretty minimal. There may be oral, practical and/or written portions. You must provide proof of graduation from a training program that has been accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association to sit for this exam. All in all, this is a cost-friendly career education choice.

Learning ASL Online Can Be Rewarding

Sunday, August 21, 2011

Learning ASL online can be self-fulfilling, as well as very gratifying. Typically, you would expect to learn ASL in a traditional classroom environment. However, today, there are many opportunities for you to learn ASL online.

When learning ASL online, you need a website that is robust in nature, one that is dynamic and is constantly evolving. When deciding to learn ASL online, you need to search for a website that is structured in a way that is best fitted for your learning schedule, too. Everyone does not learn at the same pace.

Now, you need to look for a website that has themed lessons. The purpose of themed lessons is to allow learners the opportunity to anchor vocabulary to a specific topic, or theme. Next, you need a website that offers exercises after each lesson to help with retention of vocabulary, and to develop ASL linguistics and grammar. These exercises will provide the learner with the opportunity to immediately apply what you've just learned to practical application, thereby increasing the retention of the material.

In addition, students of sign language need to seek a website that allows for customization. Websites that offer ASL online allows the user to configure a vocabulary bank to the subscriber's liking. Having the ability to customize a vocabulary bank will help you to learn and retain signs. Some online ASL websites allow the user to customize his or her own personal vocabulary bank. Then, once you know the word by heart, you can remove it from that list. Remember, this customized list is your own personal list. Learning ASL online gives you the opportunity to improve your sign language abilities at your convenience, whether you be at home or at the office.

Next, you need an online ASL program that offers linguistics and grammar instruction. Learning ASL online requires you to learn the nuances of the language. ASL is rich in grammar and linguistic components, and learning them online can be achieved at a high level of success. Some people incorrectly believe that ASL is a short form of English, and therefore it does not have its own form of grammar and linguistic rules. However, ASL is a true language, rich in linguistics and structure. For people learning ASL online for the first time, they will see that it is a fascinating language with many components.

Lastly, ASL online can save you lots of time. People need the flexibility to learn a language at their own time. One of the most positive things about learning ASL online is that you don't have to be in class at a certain time or day. Because of the quick pace of living today, peoples' lives are cluttered with a variety of activities and schedules. Therefore, students of sign language require the opportunity to learn ASL when there's time, whether you are at home, office, or school.

In summary, ASL online allows anyone to learn this great language wherever and whenever there's a computer available. With the use of a lap top, lunch periods in the park can be turned into a half hour of learning. Without a doubt, you are able to think of many places where 10-15 minutes worth of lessons can be learned without taking away from your other obligations. There are only so many minutes in a day. Learning to utilize those minutes can be the first major step towards your success in learning sign language, without going to a traditional classroom. In addition, online ASL allows the user to customize their learning in a way he or she learns best. Furthermore, online ASL is an inexpensive way to learn this language in a non-intimidating, yet comfortable environment. Remember, mastering ASL can be as close as learning one sign at a time.

Civil Engineering Degree Students May Benefit From New Stimulus Package

Saturday, August 20, 2011

Many students want to find good steady jobs that will help them make a good living and maintain stability in their lives. They don't want to be battered about by economic problems and issues they don't have control over. They want the ability to be able to put their education to work right away, and to be able to get a job in their field of choice when they graduate.

That's why many students are choosing to enter professional fields that have job-specific training and skills. Professional degree holders, because of their technical background, are often in high demand by employers, because the type of work that people do with a professional degree cannot be taught in on the job training. A good example of this type of degree is a professional degree in engineering.

A professional engineer will need to hold a bachelors degree to work in an engineering firm. In order to create and execute projects for clients, they must also hold a license in engineering that is regulated and mandated by the state in which they live. There are many types of professional engineers, including structural engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and civil engineers.

Civil engineers create projects that have to do with the transportation infrastructure of a town, city, state, or nation. This aspect of engineering is a critical component of our economy, because without roads, railways, and airports, the national economy would grind to a standstill. Students who are interested in engineering in this regard may be in extremely high demand over the next several years, because the President recently announced plans for a $50 billion civil infrastructure package that will improve the roads, runways, and railways of the nation.

The plan calls for civil engineers to design and rebuild 150,000 miles of roadway over the next six years. The plan also calls for over 4,000 miles of rebuilt and new railway lines, and 150 miles of restored airport runways. All of these projects will benefit municipalities in each state, and will require the expertise and knowledge of many civil engineering firms and their licensed engineers.

In addition to licensed engineers, there will also be a great need for experienced civil engineering technicians. These technicians with associate degrees may be in high demand for a number of job opportunities in their field. These jobs may include drafting and working on a team to help engineers create plans, land surveying, drafting engineers, and CAD (computer-aided design) operators. Usually, drafters, surveyors and CAD operators earn an associate degree or a certification from an accredited engineering technician school.

People who work in this expanding field are usually very interested in mathematics and mathematical concepts. They work together in teams to create and manage various building projects that are focused on transportation and transportation issues. There are opportunities for civil engineers and technicians to work a wide variety of companies and corporations, from small companies that only work a small geographic area, to worldwide construction and engineering corporations that have projects on many continents at once. There is also great diversity in the kind of this field that an engineer or technician can work on.

Students who choose a civil engineering degree also have the ability to start earning at a very competitive salary. Licensed engineers can begin work after graduation in the $40,000 to $60,000 a year range with a bachelor degree in civil engineering. The average salary for a civil engineering technician with an associate degree is $45,730. Online college programs, perhaps more than traditional offerings, promote the technology that will be utilized most by these candidates. This growing field needs those with a mathematical inclination.

Thursday, August 18, 2011

There are many programs that offer free government grants for Latinos. You can apply for free grants for minorities that range from $500 to $250,000 or more. If you are African American in origin you can qualify for 15 programs and being Hispanic you qualify for many more. Being a Christian makes you eligible for 20 programs. Not having money will fetch you over 30 programs and there are 550 programs if you are unemployed.

According to reports recently released by Commerce Department's Census Bureau minority owned businesses grew more than four times as fast as US firms between 1992 and 1997, increasing from 2.1 million to 2.8 million firms.

Trying to get money through bank is time consuming and involves a lot of paper work and after all these there is no surety that the grant will be sanctioned. The private foundations and the Government Grant Agencies do not have stringent requirement as banks have.

Once the grant is available you have the opportunity to expand your vision into reality and then pursue your business venture or make your future secured. Small businesses are like fibers to the country that keep the country strong. For this reason the government and other foundations try to help start up entrepreneurs with expanding capital, rent and other overhead expenses.

In getting a grant that is free money you need to take your steps correctly and carefully. The letter of proposal which explains the details of why and for which reasons you require the grant should be convincing and well written. A well-written letter of proposal improves your chances of getting the grant money.

There are many bulletproof proposal-writing programs that explain in great detail the exact way of presenting your proposal to the grant administrator. It also provides valuable trick of the trade of what to use in the proposal and the very insight on why proposals fail.

Did you know that you can apply for as many grants as you want! For instance you have applied for a free government grant $25,000 to open a day care center that you have dreamed to own and then you can always go and apply for a to buy a home for you and your family. Then when you find that your business is expanding, you can again get a grant for expanding your business more.

If you have any questions or for more information please visit our website grants for Latino. The Society of Grants has been designed to help individuals learn what types are available for them to apply for and also how to get approved for these grants.

Online Education (Teacher Education) Degree Program Options

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Teaching is an essential part of society; it's how the leaders and workers in many industries are able to step into their career. Education is utilized from grade school to college, which makes understanding how to teach others an important and needed skill. Teacher education degree programs can be completed online allowing students to step into the career of their choice.

Students that want to become a teacher have many training options to choose from. Online training offers students these main options, which include:

*Elementary Education

Degree programs prepare students to teach kindergarten through sixth grade. Although professionals only teach one grade, education encompasses the knowledge needed to teach at all levels. Most online colleges have students choose a concentration area like English or math. Students then proceed to complete their training while learning how to specifically teach in that area. Courses may include math for teachers, education technologies, and teaching techniques. The completed curriculum prepares students to become licensed in their chosen area.

*Secondary Education

Students that want to teach sixth to twelfth grade should enter a training program in this concentration. Like elementary education students choose a subject as a concentration. Online education is comprehensive and examines the theories and practices used to teach children and adolescents. Student's work primarily through the content in their chosen field, which allows them to teach at all education levels in this category. All students take the same foundational courses and specialization courses are taken separately. Literacy, classroom management, and human development are some common foundational courses.

*Special Education

Students work through a specific curriculum that allows them to educate individuals that suffer from mental disabilities like autism. To become a special education teacher students study areas like developmental linguistics, learning procedures, course designs, and content strategies. Most programs for this category are offered online at the master's degree level.

*Student Teaching Requirement

Students need to be aware that student teaching is required to gain licensure. For online learning this will incorporate students finding a school in their town that will allow them to student teach inside a classroom to gain experience. This is typically a semester long course, which requires students to record their teaching activities and work with the classroom's teacher on improving their teaching abilities.

Elementary and secondary education teaching positions require students to have at least a bachelor's degree. A master's degree prepares students to increase their teaching ability and knowledge on their subject. Students can also complete a master's degree program to enter leadership roles in schools. Doctoral study is typically the route taken by students that want to become college professors. Students can complete associate degree programs in teaching, which prepare them to become teacher assistants.

Education online is a convenient way for students to enter a career as a teacher. Students should research the schooling options for their chosen subject and begin training today. Enrollment in an accredited online school or college will give students the quality educational training they deserve. A New Concept of Graphene Strategy For Morphing of Aircraft Wing Spars Considered

Monday, August 15, 2011

If we want more efficient aircraft that use less fuel and have better performance, we need to take a leap forward in the materials we are using. We must have lighter aircraft for starters, and we need stronger materials for propulsion, namely the lighter engines, which are more durable and more powerful. Is this even possible? YES! For instance, we see Boeing has made a giant leap forward with their 787, and in the future these materials applied to blended wing designs gives them another 30% jump in efficiency. You like so far?

Yes, so do I. Now then, I'd like to take all this and propose another leap forward using a new trick recently learned in the material science, namely 2D configurations of carbon or graphene sheets or coatings. My concept involves stacking graphene sheets parallel with ammonia atoms attached on both ends, with another graphene coating over the top. The stacked graphene sheets would be, oh let's say a wing-spar for instance, and the end sheet a cover or skin.

Okay so, as the aircraft, UAV, NextGen "NASA STATS program high-tech point-to-point" flying car travels through the airflow, the trade of electrons from the friction would cause the material memory of the wing spar to expand, getting thinner and wider, or perhaps longer in some cases, meaning as it will go faster through the air as it goes to its thinnest potential, without losing strength.

Consider the camber of the wing of a DC-3 for takeoff and an F-104 leading edge for high-speed, thus, no compromise needed for speed versus useful load. The Ammonia atoms allow for the charge to flow to make this happen. And using a latex paint on top of the graphene coating which also has ammonia atoms involved in its molecular make-up we can make this happen. We have the technology to do this NOW!

When the aircraft is landing, a switch would make it possible to use the static electricity to do the opposite, the increase in static electricity over the wing would increase camber in this case. The wing could have several settings or even up to seven as one material memory lab has proved is possible.

This also has military applications of course - sure it does, why else would I care to come up with such a great concept? You could land a UAV on a small carrier like platorm vessel in very little space and under lots of control, and it could carry a lot of weight for takeoff, perhaps even hit V-2 stationary just due to the relative wind from the speed of the ship allowing for short-takeoff-and-landing STOL or near VTOL (vertical take-off and landing). This way our military could launch swarms with 10,000 lb. smart munitions payloads from a smaller floating platform.

This type of technology scheme might also be used in the intakes for hypersonic craft, thus, allowing for various transitions during its flight. Further, it might even be able to absorb laser strikes, gathering the heat of the laser and electron trade spike and use some of it for radical changes in flight, like the speed brake from hell, thus the laser uses the lock, or it could be gathered for propulsion, recharging, from friendly, or from foe, they enemy refuels it by trying to shoot it down, Sci Fi?

Maybe, but it's doable, we are already using lasers to power up UAVs right? So, it is thinkable, so we thought of it, and hereby propose this doable concept to our next generation of aerospace engineers. Are you Thinking?

Maybe, but it's doable, we are already using lasers to power up UAVs right? So, it is thinkable, so we thought of it, and hereby propose this doable concept to our next generation of aerospace engineers. Are you Thinking?

READ MORE - A New Concept of Graphene Strategy For Morphing of Aircraft Wing Spars Considered

Online Digital Media Production Higher Education Options

Sunday, August 14, 2011

The high demand for digital media has created a wave of continual technological upgrading and production. Students that want to enter careers in this area have several options. Higher education in digital media production can be pursued through online colleges and universities that dedicate specific programs to this area of study.

Students will learn a wide range of skills like understanding how to write scripts and generate graphics. Education can be completed online at the associate's, bachelor's, and master's degree level of education. Career goals and the amount of time students can dedicate to education will help them make a decision as to which educational route would be best for them. Students can also choose concentrations inside a program that may include commercials, music videos, and sporting events. All programs present students with understanding in production planning, sound editing, directing, and more. Depending on the level of education training may be examined from an introductory or advanced standpoint.

An associate's degree program teaches students about the design of media tools. Students will explore various areas of the profession to gain a foundation that will prepare them for careers or further education. Presentation creation, video production, and web page conception are some specific areas that are included within a two-year associate's degree program. Common online courses could include:

  • Intro to Media
  • Digital Photography

These courses and more develop the needed knowledge in basic audio and video media production. Education prepares students to work in various industries. Students can put their training to use in graphic design firms, advertising agencies, and more.

Many students begin their education with a bachelor's degree program. Interactive software is a large component inside the profession and students will learn how to use various programs. Education trains students to understand film production, design, scriptwriting, and more using a variety of software applications. Adobe Premiere and Apple Final Cut Pro are some computer programs used in the production process of digital media. Online courses that may be integrated into a program could include:

  • Illustration
  • Computer Animation

The understanding of design principles can be applied to several careers. Students that complete a program have a thorough understanding of the field to become digital media editors, web media developers, and virtual animators.

Education at the master's degree level takes a different approach. The first year of education trains students to produce digital media while navigating the different challenges that can occur when working with computer technology. The second year is highly focused on giving students the knowledge to find solutions for digital media production problems regarding the latest technology and software. Students learn to become proficient with handling problem areas and developing new methods to fix them. Common courses may include:

  • Storytelling
  • Theories of Interactive Media
  • Digital Communication

Students can step into careers as animators, creative directors, digital media consultants, and more upon completion of a program.

Accredited online education allows students to master digital media production at any time and from anywhere. Full accreditation is proof that a quality education will be received. Agencies like the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges ( http://www.accsc.org/ ) can fully accredited programs that meet certain criteria. Students interested should complete an online digital media program and become in demand professionals.

Turn Theories Into Practical Applications With A Psychology Course

Thursday, August 11, 2011

It seems every time we turn around, a new career path is being created. If there is one thing all these options have in common is a conventional, simple college degree focusing on one key area is not enough. These interdisciplinary occupations are often a mixed bag, relying on two or more academic tracks; one usually as a major, the other as a minor. That being the case, those studying many of the humanities and business might want to consider psychology as their minor.

In its near 150 years of existence, one thing psychology has proven is it can be applied to just about every discipline involving a human being. At its core, it's a science that specializes in understanding such basic human factors as motivation, desire and human behavior in general. As such, it can be applied to everything - from those as ethereal as history or art appreciation, to as pragmatic as marketing, health care and criminal justice.

If anything, a professional armed with a psychology minor now has the tools to not only quantify how a person or group will do something, but also get into why that group or individual did it. This can provide an employer with invaluable data when it comes to everything from planning an advertising campaign to fighting crime.

One thing students will find is just how fascinating a field psychology can be. Yes, most everyone has heard of such historic contributors as Freud or Skinner, as well as the team of Masters and Johnson. On a more practical front, the concepts these various psychologists produced provide some illuminating philosophies on how the mind works.

One can pile up the reasons to consider courses in psychology. Fortunately, a student can test the waters pretty easily before making the jump. What that student can do is simply consult with their brick and mortar or online college's list of courses and take an Introduction to Psychology course as a free elective. If you like the class, and do well, then consult with your career counselor about making it a minor. If not, you filled a free elective class at the worst.

If you do decide to continue, recommended additional courses should include courses with titles like Analysis of Psychological Data, Behavior, Applied Psychology and Development. In all, most schools require one or two basic courses and three to four advanced, but that's another subject to discuss with your career counselor.

True, there is no study showing if people with psychology minors do earn more than those who don't have one. On the other hand, there's anecdotal data proving those with better-rounded degrees are becoming more desirable than those who concentrated on one field and one field only.

The important point is the job market is changing rapidly, and recruiters are looking for people who can adapt with the time. Those who cross disciplines are more flexible and adaptive to whatever their work environment demands and those who've taken a psychology course will never forget the tenets. College funding for this and other classes can be had from student scholarships and grants, allowing each student to fulfill their degree and career goals.

Ways To Improve Spoken English Are Not That Complicated

Tuesday, August 9, 2011

English is becoming the dominant language in the international world of business, education and research. Many countries are making serious efforts to train their citizens in English so they can be more competitive in the world at large. For anyone who wants to master the English language, here are some ways that will help teach you how to improve spoken English.

In order to make learning English much easier, the first thing to do is to learn the rules regarding English grammar. Not only will this help to properly order sentences and understand the meaning of certain things, but it will also enable the student to learn the language faster and without as much confusion. Grammar lessons are pretty short in duration, and they will lay a great foundation for achieving future success.

Once the fundamentals have been mastered, the next thing to do is talk, talk and talk some more. The best way to absorb the English language is to keep speaking and listening in conversation in English as much as possible. This is a hard step for many people in the beginning, because it is difficult to take the first steps in uncomfortable situations. But, soon after the ice has been broken, it gets easier and before you know it, you are doing it with little conscious effort on your part.

Mistakes are always going to happen, but just work through them and surround yourself with better and more advanced English speakers. And, remember that others in the group are probably feeling similar concerns as well.

Listening to English music and television will help to get you used to listening and picking up on new words and phrases. The goal is to spend as much time as possible absorbing the language whenever possible, and music and television are perfect ways to get started. This makes it easier to communicate as each day passes.

As your vocabulary grows, so will your confidence. This is when it is time to start learning how to properly pronounce words without traces of a 'foreign' accent. This also takes time and practice, and this is the only way to succeed. Talk, talk and talk some more. Getting help from a coach can help you to enunciate your words better, but conversation is the best method overall.

It is not as hard to learn English as our fears tell us it is. Practice, dedication and a willingness to learn proper pronunciation will greatly increase your chances of success. Remember to talk, listen and absorb English music and television, and you can be well on the way to sounding like a native speaker. Learning a new language takes a lot of time, but in time, it will pay off in big ways not even realized yet.

Learn how to speak English fluently easy and fast! Using an effective system can help you to improve spoken English now! Learning a language fluently will give you more opportunities and advantages!

Associate Degree in Medical Assisting

Wednesday, August 3, 2011

Medical assistants are so important in today's society because we need as many as we can to keep the offices of physicians, chiropractors, and many other different types of health practitioners running smoothly. The jobs of medical assistants differ depending on the office, location, and size of the practice and its specialty.

In a smaller office, they do many different types of tasks, such as handling clinical duties and reporting things directly to a physician or any other health practitioner. These tasks performed by these people are very important to keeping even a small office running well. In a larger office, medical assistants specialize in specific areas under supervision of department administrators. Without the help of these people, doctors and physicians would have to take so much time away from their patients to keep their medical records organized, fill out insurance forms, answer telephones, etc. Medical assistants do all these extra tasks for them so they can take care of as many patients as possible.

Along with the satisfaction of helping doctors and physicians take care of their patients as best as possible, the satisfaction also comes with the fact that employment for the medical field is growing much faster than expected, ranking this occupation as one of the fastest growing opportunities in the decade. The average salary for a medical assistant is $47,000. Aside from a huge array of job opportunities and high employment rate, an associate degree in this field takes about 1-2 years to complete, and you'll be well on your way to a rewarding career.

Learn German Successfully

German language has become more and more important in our world as the globalization and German comprehensive power grow. Many people now want to learn this language very well, but how could?

The topmost way is to go to Germany for study. We all know that environment plays a very important part in learning one foreign language. If you go to Germany to learn this language, you will have very good atmosphere to learn. Everyday you touch this language. You use it while you are working, you use it as you go for lunch, or you use it when you squirm to the washing room. Plenty of chances for German learning!

Then, I think, if you can't go to this country for learning German like so many others, you may choose Internet. Internet is a very fascinating tool for us to learn any foreign language. On the Internet you can go to the German learning websites, collecting the information you need. And if you have proper computer operating skills, you may try to sign up for a few websites which will provide you with good materials. Or if you think you are a good student, you may choose to join some language learning school online, meaning "distant education". Of course, you need to pay the tuition fees.

Another method of learning German is through software. Once you surf the internet, you will see lots of information online on software products which can always dazzle your eyes. You may not know which one is what you need to choose. Now don't be puzzled any more! Now there is Rosetta Stone German, which is so powerful to help you to learn this language. The most important thing in one's life is happiness. If one's life does not have happiness, his life will be bad. Other software programs always stress something dull and old-fashioned, like grammar. But Rosetta Stone German will give a another kind of feeling of learning. Probably you will never feel dull or something like that, for Rosetta features the natural way of learning. I think, if you choose Rosetta, you will never feel regretful.

Certainly you need to work hard as well!

There are lots of things for us to learn. And I have touched some things that are really significant and powerful, like Rosetta Stone Hindi, Instant Immersion etc. They are language learning tools. Certainly I have learned some other things as well.

Flying Body Board Innovation Design Concept - Personal Flying Craft Concept

Can we build a flying surfboard? Yes, we probably can, we have the technology, and it may not look exactly like a surfboard, but in essence it would be able to fly, using some of the advanced technology we have working with unmanned aerial vehicles, or micro air vehicles using some of Honeywell's latest devices for our troops in the modern battlespace.

Here is a concept; I propose a one man system, where the operator or pilot lays on top of something similar to a surfboard, but it is enclosed, the enclosure would be your basic Bernoulli wing design, or a blended wing type design. Under the vehicle would be six "Honeywell T-hawk units." If you are unsure what those are please go to Google images and search, so you can see what I'm talking about.

The operator would lie down on the surfboard, and close the enclosure, turn on the motors and take off vertically. The operator's hands would be forward, holding the handles which act like joysticks. After the vertical takeoff he would move his hands as they faced forward, and push them out as if he was going to flap his wings. This would extend the wings from a forward position until the wings popped into place perpendicular to the length of the surfboard. A swing wing concept - hinged wings

The Honeywell T-hawk units would have three on each side, parallel to each other. Think of the SIX on a gambling dice, each unit facing towards the ground. As the operator added power for forward flight, the front two units, and the back two units, wouldn't pivot to face forward causing the airflow to be shot aft, while the remaining center two units would go to full power temporarily to hold the lift as transitional flight was achieved.

Now then, imagine how much fun you could have in an ultra-small aircraft of this type, and imagine its value for so many applications including military. An Army of these things in a swarm could take an entire regiment to vertical flight. Imagine how fast they could move, on flying surfboards, converging on the enemy, imagine how maneuverable they'd be, how hard they would be to shoot down, and how much advantage that would give the US forces.

Indeed, I hope you've enjoyed today's concept of the day, and I hope you will dream of new innovations and inventions, after you think of this concept, and try to better my design for today - talk to you tomorrow.
